timberKPIs enable firms in the joinery, truss manufacturing and
timber distribution industries to measure how their business performs
against their peers. The process involves engaging in a network
of companies within each sector. Each business provides data,
which is then aggregated to produce an industry benchmark.
A participating business can then see how their business performs
relative to its peers for a particular key business issue. The
process of comparison enables a firm to identify areas of strength
and weakness. The appropriate remedial action can then be taken.
As well as acting as a facilitator for continual improvement,
the KPIs can be used as part of the selling process. They can
be used to demonstrate that your business is part of the best
practice network, which is a useful sales tool when developing
business with local authorities/government and when selling to
construction firms that are involved in the Rethinking Construction
network.
KPIs can also be used as part of the ISO quality management process to prove continual improvement.
